KOCHI: High Court criticized the government again for delaying the salary of KSRTC employees for the month of July. Asking whether the salary issue should be reminded every month, the single bench ordered that if the required Rs 40 crore for salary and bonus cannot be paid, then a definite decision should be given on the 24th about allocating at least Rs 30 crore for salary.

Justice Devan Ramachandran is hearing the petitions against delay in salary and pension in KSRTC. Salary must be paid in cash, not coupon. Until the financial issues are resolved, the government should provide assistance or else they should inform if KSRTC should be shut down. The court asked what decision was taken in the high-level meeting attended by the ministers. Special government pleader replied that the meeting decided to consider paying the salary and KSRTC should find Rs 10 crore for festival allowance and bonus. The single bench asked whether the meeting was held under the leadership of three ministers to say that they would not pay ten crore rupees

I feel sorry for the staff

High Court asked whether employees can be blamed for protesting for not getting their salaries. Salary for July is being asked. Why is the government delaying the payment of the amount? Isn't the same thing been going on for six months? Government has started Onam celebrations. KSRTC buses ply to and from. High Court also said that it is pained that the employees are not paid. At the same time, government demanded that the petitions related to pension should be disposed of as the amount has been sanctioned.

What was asked, what was given
