MALAYINKEEEZHU: A youth died after a scooter collided with a bullet bike in Thiruvananthapuram. The deceased is Anjo Girikumar (19), son of Vilavoorkal native Girikumar. The accident happened near the Choozhattukotta pump house at around 7.30 pm on Sunday. Anjo was returning home on a scooter with his friend when his scooter collided with a bullet that came from the opposite side. Ajin Xavier, Anjo's friend, was shifted from the Medical College Hospital to the ICU of a private hospital with serious injuries. The person who was traveling on the bullet sustained an injury to his hand. The injured people remained at the spot of the accident for more than an hour.

Anjo Girikumar's relatives alleged there was a delay in taking Anjo to the hospital after someone said that the injured should be taken to the hospital only after the arrival of the police. Relatives are saying that the doctor said that Anjo would have survived had he been brought 15 minutes earlier.
