THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police will seek the help of Google to track down the entire gang behind the impersonation scam in VSSC conducted technical examinations. The fraud was done by taking a photo of the question paper with a small camera attached to the button of the shirt, later sending it out on Google Drive, and then writing the answer through a Bluetooth headset.

Google can easily find out who saved the question paper in Google Drive and who has shared it using the Wi-Fi sharing system. The police with the help of the cyber department will write a letter to Google India asking for assistance.

According to police, 5 more people will be charged in the case. 5 people from Haryana have been already arrested. Three of them wrote the exam through impersonation and two provided technical assistance. The investigation team will soon travel to Haryana to trace the ‘original’ five candidates, who were supposed to write the exams. It will also be inquired whether anyone associated with this gang has got a job in the previous exams conducted by VSSC.

The police have asked the VSSC for the complete details of candidates who appeared in their recent examinations. The impersonation took place in the examination for the post of VSSC Technician - B category. Manoj Kumar and Gautam Chauhan wrote the exam under the names of Sunil and Sumit. The examination was held in Cotton Hill and Pattom St. Mary's schools. The Technician-B, Draftsman-B, and Radiographer-A exams were canceled by VSSC after doubts emerged about more instances of cheating in the same examination.
