KOCHI: KPCC president K Sudhakaran was subjected to eight hours of interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday. Sudhakaran reiterated his old stance and informed ED of not having any financial dealings with Conman Monson. However, ED found some anomalies in statements and has asked Sudhakaran to appear once more on August 30th for questioning.
Another accused in the case IG G. Laxman will appear today before ED. He was asked by ED officials to be present at the Kochi office at 11 am on Wednesday. Another accused DIG S Surendran was questioned two times by ED officials.
K Sudhakaran reached the ED office at 11 am on Tuesday morning with an entourage of many congress workers. Sudhakaran was allowed to have lunch by the officials in a rare break provided.
According to the case, Monson duped the complainant by taking Rs 25 lakhs in the promise of solving all obstacles related to Rs 2.62 lakhs stuck in a bank in Delhi. According to the complainant, K Sudhakaran received Rs 10 lakh as commission from Monson.
“ I have never craved strangers' money. I trust the law and I am 100% clear in this case” K Sudhakaran opined.
