PALAKKAD: A private bus overturned at Thiruvazhiyode in Cherpulassery. Two people died in the accident, informed Ottapalam MLA K Premkumar. Many passengers sustained injuries. The bus of Kallada Travels met with the accident. The incident happened in front of the Agricultural Development Bank. The bus that met with the accident was coming from Chennai to Kozhikode. There were 32 passengers including the employees of the bus.

The injured were taken to the nearby hospitals jointly by the locals, police and the fire force. The details of the dead have not been obtained. Thiruvazhiyode is a place near Cherpulassery. The accident happened in a slope here. The bus after losing control overturned in the mid of the road.
