NEW DELHI: The new National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF) was released on Wednesday by Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan. According to the new framework, board exams will be conducted only twice a year to ensure quality time for students to prepare for examinations. According to the union ministry, the students will feel ready exactly at the time of exams and will have ample time to revise the subjects.

The curriculum further suggests that students should mandatorily study two languages in higher secondary classes. One of the languages opted for should be Indian.

According to the new method, students will have a deeper knowledge of the subject and will find ways to apply those in daily life. The new curriculum also hopes to end the age-old system of by-heart learning among students. The new proposals will be started in the academic year 2024.
