JOHANNESBURG: Chandrayaan-3 has made history by landing on the South Pole of the Moon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated ISRO and the scientists behind this prestigious mission in India's space missions. The Prime Minister said that this is the dawn of a new India.

"Historic day for India's space sector. Congratulations to @isro for the remarkable success of Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission.", PM Modi tweeted.

"Every Indian is celebrating today. It is a celebration in every house in the country. I am joining the people of my country at this moment. This is the dawn of a new India.', he said.

The prime minister witnessed the country's proud achievement while attending the BRICS summit in Johannesburg, South Africa.

After landing on the moon, ISRO received the first message from Chandrayaan-3.
