BENGALURU: ISRO Chairman S Somanath thanked everyone behind the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan 3. Somanath said that this is the success of generations of work. This is also the success of those who worked on Chandrayaan 1 and 2. Even retirees came back and helped out for Chandrayaan 3. He said that this is a proud moment for all Indians.

Thanks to those from all corners of the country who prayed with us for the mission. Success is not ours alone, this is the work of a generation of Isro scientists. Many people who worked for Chandrayaan-2 worked on Chandrayaan-3 without even sleeping. They found every mistake and corrected it. Thanks are also due to other space agencies for their assistance. Somanath said that the world's best technology, sensors, cameras, velocity meter, best rockets, all these are made in India and every Indian is proud.
