MAYYIL(KANNUR): Grade SI killed his friend who was a loading worker after a drunken argument, by hitting him on the head. Komban Sajeev (55) of Kolachery Paramba was killed. Grade SI Dinesan of Mayyil police station was taken into custody by the police. Police said that Sajeev was found injured behind Dinesan's house around 7:30 last night. He was taken to the hospital but could not be saved. The body was shifted to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital Mortuary.

Sajeev was married to Geetha who is an Anganwadi worker. Children: Shweta (Nursing Student Bangalore), Shreya (Student).
