THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The health department has not taken any action against the hospital regarding the incident where a patient was injured due to the collapse of a stretcher. The incident occurred yesterday at Nedumangad Hospital. The doctor states that the patient did not actually fall from the stretcher.

The explanation provided by the hospital superintendent is that he was not informed about the incident. Lali, a resident of Panavoor Manguzhi sustained injuries when the rusty stretcher at the hospital collapsed. Lali had come to the hospital due to experiencing chest pain.

The stretcher collapsed while the patient was being transferred to the emergency department. It has been reported that Lali had a previous disc problem and there are also indications of spinal injuries resulting from the fall.
