CHANGARAMKULAM: An incident occurred during the wedding at a residence in Changaramkulam. The groom's ex-girlfriend and her relatives forcefully entered the house leading to a violent confrontation. Among the casualties were five individuals including the groom and his parents who sustained injuries. Subsequently, a case was filed against approximately 20 individuals involved in the incident. The outbreak of violence transpired around midnight and the injured parties were admitted to a private hospital in Changaramkulam.
A group of around 20 people which included the groom's former girlfriend and her relatives arrived at the residence of a young man from Changaramkulam Manthadam on his wedding day. Allegations were made by this group claiming that the groom had maintained a close relationship with a woman from Thattanpadi and he had deceived her by making promises of marriage.
According to their accusations, the young man had concealed his ongoing love affair for several years and had now decided to enter another marriage. Responding to a complaint from the groom's family, the Changaramkulam police initiated a case against the 20 individuals who were identified as participants in the incident including the young woman. In light of the controversial event, the bride's family decided to withdraw from the wedding.
