BHARUCH; As many as 28 people were hospitalised after they inhaled bromine gas that leaked out from a chemical factory. Baruch Resident Additional Collector NR Dandal said that the bromine gas stored in the tank leaked out due to the fire, causing breathing problems to the people including the residents of the area.

It is reported that the incident happened last day at around 1 p.m. Vedach police station sub-inspector Vaishali Aheer said that there were more than 2,000 workers in the factory when the poisonous gas spread and all of them were evacuated safely. The worker who was working near the tank was admitted to the hospital.
