KANNUR: In a tragic incident a crane operator died when the crane that came to lift a mini lorry fell dowm a pit.The accident took place near Mutukuda LP School, Kannur. Mustafa, a crane operator from Kannapuram, died.

The accident happened around 5.45 am today. Members of Taliparamba fire rescue team pulled out Mustafa trapped inside the crane but he died. The body has been kept at Kannur Government Medical College Hospital. The body will be handed over to the relatives after post-mortem.
