KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Thursday said that salary should be paid to KSRTC employees by the 10th of every month. The court order stated that the government should provide the necessary assistance for this. It also said that government assistance should not be denied to KSRTC.

However, the court stated that it cannot interfere with the demand of the employees that the government should take over the liabilities of KSRTC. The demand of the employees to make KSRTC a government department cannot be accepted, the court said while disposing of the petitions against the delay in salary.

Meanwhile, the employees of KSRTC are relieved that they have received the salary arrears for July ahead of Onam. The amount was transferred to the employees' accounts the other night.
