THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A team led by IPS trainee Deepak Chahar has reached Haryana to investigate a case of high-tech cheating and impersonation that took place in the written test for the selection of technicians at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC). Medical College CI Harilal and some officials are on the team. City Police Commissioner CH Nagaraju told 'Kerala Kaumudi' that the aim is to find those who gave answers to the impersonators and the control room functioning for the fraud. He also said that the team would conduct a detailed investigation in Haryana.

Haryana Police will assist in the investigation. Deepak Chahar, a native of Haryana, was sent there as he knows the local language. The team started searching there for a few people having links with the fraudsters. Efforts are being made to find the entire gang who committed high-tech cheating and impersonation. So far, 5 people from Haryana have been arrested in the case. Three of them wrote the exam through impersonation while two provided technical assistance. The investigation team went to Haryana to find five persons, including those who were actually supposed to appear for the exam. They will also be named accused as the impersonation was done for them. The commissioner said that more accused will be arrested and brought to Thiruvananthapuram.
