MALAPPURAM: Evidence will be taken today with the accused in the case of the murder of Sujitha, a temporary employee of Tuvvur Krishi Bhavan. Evidence will be taken at the house of the accused and at the place where the body was buried.

Former Youth Congress leader Vishnu (27), brothers Vysakh (21), and Vivek (20), father Muthu (53) and friend Muhammad Shifan (18) have been arrested in the case. The accused have been taken into police custody. They were questioned in detail yesterday.

Sujitha went missing on the 11th of this month. According to reports she went to work in the morning and from there, she said he was going to the primary health centre. Ten days later, the dead body was found in Vishnu's compound.

The accused stated that they killed the woman by suffocating her, stole her jewellery and then buried her body. The investigation team is examining whether there is any other reason behind the murder.
