KOCHI: The plea seeking a vigilance probe into the allegations against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his daughter Veena Vijayan has been rejected. The petition was dismissed by the Muvatupuzha Vigilance Court. The court said that it cannot order an investigation in the absence of evidence.
There are no documents to prove that the crime took place. The court also clarified that an investigation cannot be conducted based on newspaper reports. The court action is based on a petition filed by Girish Babu, a native of Kalamassery. The demand in the petition was that Pinarayi Vijayan's daughter Veena had taken monthly payments from CMRL company and that action should be taken.
