KOTTAYAM: Kottayam East Police registered a case against Sathiamma who alleged that she was fired from her job after speaking in praise of former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. The case has been registered under the sections of forgery and impersonation. In the FIR, it is said that she worked in the veterinary hospital by forging documents. A neighbour, Lijimol, had earlier complained to the police that Sathiamma had robbed the job she was entitled to by impersonating her.
Apart from Sathiamma, Aishwarya Kudumbashree Secretary Sudha Mol, President Janamma and Veterinary Field Officer Binu are also accused in the case. There will be departmental action against Binu. PO Satyamma was working as a sweeper at Kaithepalam Veterinary Hospital. She alleged that she was fired for speaking to the channel reporter in favour of Oommen Chandy. However, the official explanation is that Sathiamma was doing the job that her neighbour Lijimol was supposed to get and that is why she was fired.
Sathiamma also informed that both of them were working in the same Kudumbashree unit and Lijimol had health problems so she joined the veterinary hospital with Lijimol's consent. However, Lijimol denied Sathiamma's claims and complained to the police.
Lijimol said she had no health problems and had not signed the documents. 'I am not a member of Aishwarya Kudumbashree. I came to know only through social media that Sathiamma worked in my name and received salary', Lijimol stated.
