LUCKNOW: Another honour killing in Uttar Pradesh. A 16-year-old girl was hacked to death with an axe by her father and brothers for falling in love with a man from a different community. Father and brothers are under arrest. The incident took place in Tikri village of Muzaffarnagar on Saturday. The girl's family was not in approval of her relationship with the man.

On the morning of the incident, her brother noticed that the girl was talking on her mobile phone. The girl did not give a clear answer when asked who she was talking to. With this, the brother called her father and another brother and killed the girl. The girl died on the spot. Locals called the police. Police arrested the father and the brothers according to the information given by the locals. Kaushambi Superintendent of Police Brijesh Kumar Srivastava informed that they have confessed to the crime.
