suicide

JAIPUR: Two more students have committed suicide just five hours apart in Rajasthan's Kota, known as the 'coaching city' of the country. It is reported that they committed suicide after their marks fell in the exam.

ASP Bhagwat Singh Hingad said that Aavishkar Sambhaji Kasle (16), a native of Latur, Maharashtra, and Adarsh (18), a native of Bihar, died. Aavishkar has been preparing for the NEET exam for three years. Aavishkar committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of the training institute at around 3 p.m. on Sunday. Adarsh was preparing for the NEET exam along with his siblings. He was found hanging at his residence around 7 pm. In the preliminary investigation, it was found that he had got less marks in the examination. This year alone, around 20 students have committed suicide.

After a series of student suicides, the authorities adopted various measures to prevent this, including a spring-loaded fan. Thousands of students from different states come for training in Kota to get admission to the best engineering medical colleges in the country.
