NADAKKAVU: A youngster was arrested for fleeing away with a KTM Duke bike that was placed on the porch of a showroom for exhibition. Kiran Chand (27), a native of Kuruvattur stole the bike from a showroom in Nadakkavu. Kiran after taking the bike went straight to a petrol bunk near Palayadnada. However, the youngster had an empty pocket and was in no condition to pay for the fuel. Kiran adopted yet another devious plan and attacked the petrol bunk employee. He was about the speed off on his bike when the locals and another employee caught him by force. He was later handed over to Vatakara police.
On further questioning, it was revealed that the bike was stolen. According to his confession, the grills in the KVR showroom in Nadakkavu were broken for the theft.
Kiran after filling the fuel said that he would pay through Google Pay. However, suspicion loomed as no money reached the account. The employees questioned this which made Kiran adopt his devious side to wriggle from the situation. One employee was knocked by Kiran with a punch on the nose. He then escaped from the spot but was caught by locals and other employees after a chase.
