KOLKATA: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the BJP is likely to hold the Lok Sabha elections this December. Mamata said this by referring to the new bill regarding the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner. She was addressing a rally of the Trinamool Congress youth wing.
"If BJP is elected for the third time, the country will have to give way to dictatorship. No one thought that we would be able to remove the Left Front from Bengal. But we removed them from the state. If we have to remove BJP from the Centre, we will do it. Today, only the BJP has freedom in the country. No one else is free to speak. If BJP comes back to power they will change the constitution itself," Mamata said.
She also said that Trinamool Congress leader and MP Abhishek Banerjee may be arrested before the Lok Sabha elections.
