THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian meteorological department has warned about decent rains in seven districts of Kerala. According to the Meteorological Department, moderate rain is possible at isolated places in the Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts.

IMD also warned about more rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in several districts on Wednesday. At the first sign of lightning, move to a safe building immediately. Staying in open areas increases the risk of lightning strikes.

According to further reports, modest rains are expected to stay for the next 4-5 days. As of now, no such warnings have been given to coastal areas and the fishermen folks.
