KOTTAYAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that more than six lakh onam kits have been distributed in the state. The Chief Minister also pointed out that there is a group of people who are always afraid of kit and when they hear kit, they get scared. The Chief Minister was speaking at the campaign meeting of the Left Front in Puthpally.

From Atham to Onam, trade worth 7 crore rupees was done at Supplyco fairs alone. A total of 170 crores of business was done in the outlets of Supplyco. In 10 days, 32 lakh card holders purchased goods at subsidized rates. All this is a slap in the face of those who have come out to spread false propaganda against SupplyCo. The Chief Minister mocked that these people have no shame.

Onam came at a challenging time. It is a phase where the central government is trying to figure out how to squeeze the economy in our state. There are many ways to do it. The assistance to be provided by the Center is not generous. National income is derived from all parts of the country. That revenue is handled by the Centre. It should be distributed equally to all states. The Chief Minister said that the distribution was not fair.
