HARIPPAD: Police have arrested two siblings in connection with the incident in which a man was shot to death in Pallipad following a dispute between neighbors. The arrested people are Pallipad Neendur native Prasad (52) and his brother Haridas (46). Neendur native Soman (55) was shot dead on Monday evening following a fight between neighbors.

It was Prasad, an ex-serviceman, who fired at Soman with his double-barrel gun. The police had earlier obtained the CCTV footage of Prasad leaving with the gun after the incident. During the subsequent investigation, the police found the accused in the Thripakkadum region around 12 p.m. However, the accused soon went hiding in a forested land. Following this, the police surrounded the area with the help of locals and managed to catch Haridas. However, they were not able to nab Prasad. The police finally managed to nab Prasad on Tuesday. They also seized the double-barrel gun used for the murder.
