KASARGOD: There was an attempt to kill female students of eighth class in Kumbala by hitting them with a car. The students are of Kumbala Higher Secondary School. A case has been filed against Naushad, a native of Olayam in Kumbala. The CCTV visuals of the children being knocked down has surfaced.

Naushad hit Ashika and Muslifa while they were returning home after the Onam celebrations organised in the school on last Friday. The students sustained injuries on their hands after falling in the road. The Kumbala police registered a case against the accused. The locals alleged that the Naushad is a drug addict. The police are trying to trace the accused after the visuals surfaced.
