THRISSUR: City Police Commissioner Ankit Asokan on Thursday said that all the accused in Moorkkanikara murder have been arrested. The reason for the murder was a dispute that broke out during a dance celebration in a Kummatti festival in Thrissur's Moorkanikara. Akhil (28), a native of Mulayam, was stabbed to death in the incident. The arrested has been identified as Vishwajith, Brahmajith, Ananthakrishnan, Akshay, Sreeraj and Jishnu. All reportedly have a criminal background. The incident happened on Wednesday evening.

Clashes broke out at three places in Thrissur yesterday during the Onam celebrations. There were two deaths. Akhil, of Mannuthi's Mulayam, and Karunamayi, of Nedupuzha, were killed. Three people took Karunamayi to a private hospital in Thrissur at around 4 pm and returned. Karunamayi's murder was confirmed during an examination at the hospital. 24-year-old Karunamayi is accused in many criminal cases.

The third incident took place in Anthikkad. A person named Nimesh was seriously injured in the incident. Nimesh and Shihab attacked a young man named Hirath in his house. As per reports, Hirath took a knife from the house and stabbed Nimesh.
