UDUPI: A native of Ernakulam drowned in the Souparnika river while visiting the Mookambika temple. The deceased has been identified as Ernakulam Azheekal native M R Ashokan (56). The accident happened around 2 pm today.

According to sources, Ashokan slipped and fell into the deep part of the river while taking a bath. The body will be brought home after post-mortem at Kundapura Hospital. Wife: Sudha, Children: Anitha, Mahesh (Anilkumar).
