THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The capital city was alarmed on Monday after a report surfaced about a four-year-old boy’s death in Malayinkeezhu due to food poisoning. According to the complaint registered to police by the boy's relatives, Anirudh(4) consumed the popular dish Shawarma which is doubted to have led to his untimely death. It was during a vacation trip to Goa in the previous days that Anirudh tasted shawarma. The boy later fell into drowsiness and vomited throughout the journey.
The mortal remains are currently kept in the Medical College mortuary in Thiruvananthapuram, and the doctors will soon step towards conducting a detailed postmortem, which is said to answer all vagueness behind the death. Malayinkeezhu police have started an investigation into the case.
