KANNUR: CPM central committee member PK Sreemathy filed a complaint with the police pointing out that fake propaganda is being done through social media. The fake campaign is that Sreemathy said that she will serve beef and fish at home for Thiruvonam. Fake propaganda was circulated on social media along with PK Sreemathy's photo.

PK Sreemathy, the President of All India Democratic Women's Association and a member of the Central Committee of the CPM, filed a complaint with the Kannur Rural SP, demanding an investigation into the propaganda being carried out against her. The complaint alleged that this was a move to create religious rivalry. Police have started an investigation.
