THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The mortal remains of four people killed in the Bahrain accident were brought back home to Kerala on Monday. Dead remains of Akhil Raghu (27) of Kannur Kunhimangalam, Gedhar (27) of Thrissur Muringoor, Gokulam Jagath (26) of Malappuram, and Mahesh (33) of Kozhikode Mayanad were brought back home as relatives and friends failed to hold back tears seeing the coffins appear from the airport.

Five people died in the crash that took place on 2nd September. All of the deceased were employees in a private hospital in Bahrain.

The bodies of Akhil Raghu, Gokulam Jagath and Mahesh were cremated on Monday. Gedar's body, which is kept at Chalakudy St. James Hospital, will be brought to his home on Tuesday morning and the funeral is arranged at St. Sebastian's Church at 4 p.m.

Akhil’s body was placed at Navodaya Kunhimangalam for public viewing. Gokul's body was cremated in Shornur’s Ivarmadom at 12 p.m. on Monday. A mourning procession accompanied Mahesh on his final journey to his home from the airport. Mahesh’s wife Rily and his four-year-old son arrived in Kozhikode by a special flight from the Gulf emirates.
