MUMBAI: The Indian team for the ODI Cricket World Cup has been announced. Sanju Samson who was a reserve in India's Asia Cup squad failed to find a spot in the squad. The 15-member team is led by Rohit Sharma. KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah, who are returning from injury, have been included. Hardik Pandya is the vice-captain.
The selection committee chief Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma announced the team at a press conference held in Sri Lanka. Apart from Sanju, Yuzvendra Chahal and Thilak Verma were also left out of the squad. Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer who is recovering from injury have been included in the World Cup squad.
