THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MLA K B Ganesh Kumar's sister Usha Mohandas said that it is not appropriate to consider him for the post of minister. Usha said that it is not right to be considered for a ministerial post when the case of stealing family property is under consideration by the court. She also said that if he is a leader, he should take care of his house and the country.

Usha alleges that she did not get her due share in the will and that Ganesh Kumar stole the property by manipulation. The complaint filed by Usha against Ganesh in 2021 is being considered by the Kottarakkara sub-court. The examination of the documents has been completed and the case is proceeding to a hearing.

Ganesh Kumar's sister had met the Chief Minister before the formation of the second Pinarayi government's cabinet in May 2021. Usha said that only the complaint related to Ganesh Kumar's theft of family property was conveyed to the Chief Minister. Usha stated that she had shown the will and other documents prepared by her father to the Chief Minister.

During the formation of the second Pinarayi government, it was decided to give two ministerial posts for two and a half years each to INL, Janadhipathya Kerala Congress, Congress S and Kerala Congress B. According to this, when the government completes two and a half years, Ganesh Kumar should replace Antony Raju as the minister. The CPM took back the chairmanship of the Forward Corporation while discussions were going on in this regard. Later, based on Ganesh Kumar's letter, the decision was put on hold.
