VAGAMON: Those who love adventure can now reach Vagamon and walk through the glass bridge. The glass bridge in Vagamon is 40 meters long. Although one's heart rate will go up while walking through it, one will be able to enjoy great scenic beauty.
The glass bridge in Vagamon is the longest in India. Minister PA Mohammed Riyas will inaugurate it at 4 pm today. A candy lever-style glass bridge and adventure park in Vagamon, a major tourist destination in Idukki district, will be a new step in tourism.
The glass bridge was built by Idukki DTPC and Kiki Stars of Bharat Mata Ventures Pvt Ltd, Perumbavoor, as part of the government's policy of developing tourism centers in partnership with private entrepreneurs. The glass was imported from Germany. 35 tons of steel were also used. The cost is three crores. The glass bridge is suspended in the air without any other supports on a gigantic pole structure. It is connected by steel cables.
500 rupees for ten minutes
15 people can enter the glass bridge at a time. A person can spend ten minutes on the glass bridge. The entry fee is Rs 500 per person. The adventure park also has sky swing, sky cycling, sky roller, rocket ejector, freefall, giant swing, zipline etc.
