THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The new Deputy Commissioner hastily left his office, his heart pounding with fear, after stumbling upon unsettling occult items within the State GST Commissionerate's cabin. Subsequently, the office was relocated to another room.

These mystic artifacts including amulets were discovered within the Deputy Commissioner's chamber situated in the Tax Tower at Karamana, Thiruvananthapuram which serves as the central hub for the State Goods and Services Tax Department. The successor to the previous Deputy Commissioner, a prominent leader associated with the CPM organization was both startled and dismayed by this eerie find.

Notably, this individual also holds the position of leader within the pro-CPM Gazetted Officers organization. This peculiar incident has begun to circulate among department employees as an intriguing tale of sorcery occurring within the Tax Tower during the tenure of left-wing leaders.

Deputy Commissioner S V Sishir vacated the premises several weeks prior and Ajith, his replacement took up residence in the same office. It was during Ajith's initial days in the cabin that he made the shocking discovery. Inside the cupboard, an assortment of items including chicken eggs, ash, copper plates, steel objects and strings had been inexplicably stowed away. The staff promptly cleared these items with the assistance of attendants. Although taking photographs of this peculiar occurrence was initially forbidden by higher-ranking authorities, the matter quickly became a hot topic of discussion within the Tax Tower.

Presently, the office of Deputy Commissioner is occupied by a Finance Officer on deputation from the Secretariat. In a previous role, this officer served as the Devaswom administrator in Guruvayur during the prior regime.
