CHENNAI: Amidst the controversy surrounding the burning of the Sanatana Dharma reference, another contentious issue has arisen regarding a book released by Udayanidhi Stalin, the son of the Tamil Nadu Chief minister and a Minister himself. Udayanidhi unveiled the book titled 'RSS's Contribution to the Indian Freedom Struggle' during the 'Sanatanam Abolition Conclave' in Chennai on September 2. It was during this event that the controversial statement was made, further intensifying the dispute.

This book, released under the aegis of the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Artists Association, has sparked considerable debate. Interestingly, despite its substantial size, the book contains very little content. Apart from two cartoons, most of its pages remain blank. These cartoons depict a man engaged in bootlicking and another holding a gun, symbolizing Nathuram Godse. The empty pages serve to suggest that the RSS played no significant role in the Indian freedom struggle. Consequently, various groups including the RSS have voiced their objections to the book.

Udayanidhi also shared a post about the book on his social media platforms. While participating in the Sanatana Eradication Conference organized by the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Artists Association, Udayanidhi applauded the release of the book, emphasizing the RSS's purported involvement in the Indian Liberation War. He congratulated the DMK comrades for exposing individuals who advocate for Sanatana and have little historical basis. In a statement, he expressed his determination to defeat the fascist forces in the elections and eradicate Sanatana ideologies.
