KOCHI: More gruesome reports of the past crimes committed by the main accused in the Aluva rape case have emerged. Christin, a native of Chenkal, Thiruvananthapuram was a history sheeter and has been indulging in petty theft since childhood. Christin fled his hometown after sexually assaulting an elderly lady in 2017. According to local natives, he was not seen in the town for the past one and a half years.
The locals have many such deplorable stories to offer regarding Christin. If such stories are to be believed, Christin has also been finding pleasure in bestiality, torturing many domestic animals in his hometown. His troubled life started with stealing mobile phones and electronic appliances. He is not on amicable terms with his family and is of a reclusive kind, with no friends to hang out with. Locals say he is prone to marijuana.
He once tried to escape a police entourage after unlocking the handcuff. Christin is seldom seen during the daytime but ventures out with devious intentions only at night. Christin was seen by the police at a bar in Aluva on Thursday evening. Seeing the police, the accused jumped into the river from a bridge but was caught later.
In November 2022, he was caught in a theft case in Perumbavoor. He was released from Viyyur jail only on August 10th. Police identified the culprit through CCTV visuals.
