KOCHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has interrogated five people, including three CPM leaders, in the Karuvannur Cooperative Bank fraud case. Former Minister A C Moiden was interrogated along with the two arrested accused. It is indicated that the questioning is to find evidence to add Moiden as an accused in the case.

Davis Kada, a local leader and Vadakancherry Municipal Standing Committee Chairman P R Arvindakshan, local leader Madhu, and real estate dealers Rajesh and Jishore, were separately interrogated in the case of fraud. P Satish Kumar was interrogated along with P P Kiran. The ED is trying to gather maximum information as the custody period ends at 4 p.m. today.

Information about Moideen's relationship was brought up in the interrogation. Anoop Davis Kada and PR are close to Moideen. Anoop, a senior leader in Thrissur, also has a personal connection with Moideen. According to the ED, the loans were sanctioned on the instructions of Moideen. It is reported that the CPM leaders were also asked about the information in the statements given by some witnesses against Moideen. ED issued a notice to A C Moideen to appear on Monday 11. ED is in the process of making Moideen an accused in the case if clear evidence is found. There is a possibility of arresting him if evidence is found to corroborate the statement.
