KOTTAYAM: The UDF candidate in Puthupally will attain a record majority, said Congress leader Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan. Talking to a media, he said Chandy Oommen will swear in as MLA on September 11.

‘Chandy Oommen will be swearing in on September 11. All will accompany him to the assembly. We will witness that function happily. My expectation is that the swearing-in ceremony will take place by remembering the memories of Oommen Chandy, who led us from the front for fifty-three years,’ said Thiruvanchoor.

The counting of votes started at 8 am in the center set up at Kottayam Baselios College Auditorium. Counting of votes is done in total 20 tables. 14 tables will count voting machine votes, five tables will count postal votes and one table will count ETPBS votes for service voters.
