Youth Congress state general secretary Rahul Mamkootathil shared the video of A A Rahim saying that LDF candidate Jaick C Thomas will win with a majority of more than 20,000 votes. The DYFI national president said about Jaick's majority in a channel discussion held as part of the Puthupally by-election. Rahul Mamkootathil also participated in the event. Rahul had shared the video on Facebook with the caption 'Sree Rahim, I have kept my word'.

Rahim had said that Puthupally will be a new sunrise in the political history of Kerala and was very confident when he said this. In response to this, Rahul said let the sun turn red, yellow and white every day, Puthupally will shine with tricolor light. In the video, Rahul said that he will keep the video of what Rahim said and it will be the first thing he will post when Chandy Oommen wins after the results are announced.
