PARAVUR: The Paravur Additional District Court has pronounced a twelve-year rigorous imprisonment sentence for Sukeshan (55) also known as Anas (55) alias Anas in the case of the murder of a KSRTC driver. Unfortunately, Ashraf hailing from Aluva Kunchattukara Kunchattu House the second accused in the case passed away during the trial.
The incident dates back to June 1, 2013 when Sadashivan (54) was tragically beaten to death by the duo at Shivaranjini's residence in Veliyathunadu. The dispute began when the bus driven by Sadashivan accidentally collided with the accused while entering the Aluva stand. This collision led to the assailants forcibly entering the bus and brutally assaulting Sadashivan. Although the bus staff rushed Sadashivan to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
The trial was eventually concluded after Sukeshan who had evaded arrest by drowning during the trial was rearrested. Under the guidance of Aluva East Police Circle Inspector George Joseph, Abdul Salam and B Harikumar, a comprehensive investigation was conducted leading to the submission of a charge sheet. Representing the prosecution, Additional Public Prosecutor M B Shaji played a pivotal role in the legal proceedings.
