NEW DELHI: The two-day G20 summit, which will highlight India on the world stage, will begin here today.
The summit hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attended by 40 dignitaries including heads of G20 countries and invited countries and representatives of international organizations. The venue is Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan.
Based on the summit's message of Vasudhaiva Kudumbakam, the discussion on various topics will be held in three sessions, one earth, one family and one future. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over all three.
Meanwhile, bilateral meetings of the leaders will also be held. First session 'One Earth' is at 9 am today.'One family'- the second session will be held afternoon
World leaders will visit Rajghat, Gandhi's mausoleum, on the concluding day tomorrow morning. Then sapling will be planted in Bharat Mandapam.
The summit will conclude with a 'One Future' session. The G20 presidency will be handed over to Brazil at the closing session. With India's term ending on November 30, Brazil will take over the status on December 1.

US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Oman Prime Minister Haitham Bin Tariq Al Said, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, etc. leaders reached Delhi. India's moves to grant permanent membership to the African Union, a group of 55 African countries, in the G20 will bear fruit. African Union Chairperson and Comoros President Azali Assoumani has also arrived as part of it.
