AMARAVATI: TDP leader and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu to be jailed in Rs 371 crore corruption case. The Vijayawada Metropolitan Magistrate Court denied bail in the case and released Chandrababu Naidu on a 14-day judicial remand. He has been remanded till the 24th of this month. The court upheld the non-bailable charge of criminal breach of trust as a public servant. Chandrababu Naidu is being transferred to Rajahmundry Jail.
Meanwhile, TDP has decided to approach the High Court today for bail. Advocate Sidharth Luthra himself will appear for Naidu in the High Court as well. The leaders have informed that they will approach the court even if it is midnight.
Heavy police security has been imposed across the state. Many senior TDP leaders have been placed under house arrest or detained to avoid protests.
