Atlee Kumar directed Jawan is striding forward to enter into the Rs 200 crore club within just three days’ time. Across, the northern belt of India, the SRK wave is huge and the movie is getting splendid reviews from fans and critics alike. But, the case is not that idyllic when it comes to southern India, mostly Atlee’s hometown Chennai. The movie is ridiculed by some for being ersatz of Atlee's former movies including ‘Theri’ and ‘Bigil’. Whatever it is, the movie is thriving at the box office despite the clamor of critics. However, famous critic Blue Sattai Maran was not ready to mince any words and lampooned the director for his work in Jawan.
According to Maran: “ Jawan is just crass, nothing more. But at the same time, I think the whole TN should support and go watch the movie in theatres. It is our responsibility to make the movie a success. If it achieves a huge landmark, Atlee will establish his name in Bollywood and will do movies with Khans' in the industry. If it fails, then Atlee will find some way to wriggle back into Kollywood and will chock us with his crass movies”
There is big hullabaloo over Blue Sattai’s review on social media, where some pointed it as a below-the-belt comment while others were too happy to endorse his views.
