AMARAVATI: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who has been arrested in a corruption case is receiving extensive privileges while in jail. The court has granted the former chief minister who is in judicial custody, a separate room in the jail and permission to have food from home.

The Superintendent of Rajamahendravaram Central Prison received instructions regarding these arrangements due to security concerns. Naidu is scheduled to appear in court on the 22nd of this month. Naidu's son and TDP General Secretary, Nara Lokesh expressed strong emotions in ‘X’ regarding Naidu's transfer to the jail stating, ‘I am deeply angered and saddened. Why has my father, who has contributed so much to the country and the Telugu people become a victim of injustice?’

Naidu was arrested by the police in Ganapuram, Nandyal district in the early hours of Saturday. After questioning, he was presented in the court that handles corruption cases at 6.30 pm last night. Naidu's arrest is related to his alleged involvement in a scam of Rs 370 crore connected to the skill development scheme implemented in Andhra Pradesh.
