THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mathew Kuzhalnadan MLA again raised the monthly payment controversy against the chief minister and his daughter Veena in the assembly. He asked why the chief minister is not ready to reply on the allegation raised by him. He also alleged that the CPM has degenerated into a party that guards the loot of the chief minister's family.
‘Why those responsible are mum despite the release of a report stating that Veena Vijayan has accepted monthly payment? When spoke about it in the assembly last time, the chief minister asked whether he would get scared if mentioned about his children. He was really upset that day. I literally proved the allegation before the public. However, the chief minister didn't reply,' said Kuzhalnadan.
‘The CPM state secretariat responded to the finding that the chief minister's daughter and a company named after her had received Rs 1.72 crore from a company that wanted to loot the coast of Alappuzha. The CPM has degenerated into a party guarding the loot of a family. The CPM said that money is paid for the services done. However, the company’s managing director S N Shashidharan Kartha himself said that no service was received. That corrupt money is with the chief minister's family. There are many communists who are sad as there was no leader in the party to speak about it. The CPM has turned a party that guards the loot,' alleged Kuzhalnadan. A discussion on the adjournment motion is progressing in the assembly.
