MALAPPURAM: A three-year-old boy died after a wall collapsed over him while he was playing in the courtyard of his house. The dead is Farzeen Ishal, son of Fazalu of Malappuram Tanur Karad Pazhayavalappil and Afni. The incident happened Monday morning at 9.30. It is concluded that the wall soaked in the heavy rains witnessed in the last few days, collapsed.

The hollow bricks fell on top of the child. The family members and nearby residents came hearing a noise and rushed the boy to a private hospital, but his life could not be saved. The body has been shifted to Tirur district hospital for post-mortem. Farzeen Ishal is the youngest of the couple's two children.
