THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that the opposition is making baseless allegations unrelated to the facts concerning the solar issue. He made this response at the conclusion of the emergency resolution discussion.

‘There is a distinction between Satheesan and Vijayan. The UDF is more familiar with the middleman. I was the one who asked Dallal Nandakumar to leave while we were having breakfast at Kerala House. I have no hesitation in saying that. The story of Dallal coming to see me is a fabricated tale for convenience. I doubt he'll be inclined to approach me anytime soon. It is untrue that I took any special interest in the complaint. I wasn't influenced by political motives in the solar case,’ said the Chief Minister.

‘The government does not possess the CBI report. Our consistent stance has been that those responsible in the solar case should face its consequences. Former Chief Whip P C George had previously made accusations against Oommen Chandy. The lack of availability of the report makes investigation difficult. If the defense requests further inquiry into the matters contained in the report related to the conspiracy, I am prepared to take legal action. The government has no objections to any inquiry,’ the Chief Minister added. At the conclusion of the discussions the House rejected the opposition's motion.
