KOCHI: KPCC Chairman K Sudhakaran said that he fully cooperated with the ED's interrogation. "Answered to all questions. All the requested documents have been submitted. I will appear for questioning even if I am called ten more times", said K Sudhakaran. The senior Congress leader's reaction came after the ED questioned him for the second time in the antiquities scam case.

ED issued a notice to Sudhakaran to appear at the office in Kochi at 11 am on Monday. The central agency had also asked the Congress leader to produce information regarding five years of banking transactions. K Sudhakaran was questioned in the same case on August 22. ED had directed K Sudhakaran to appear again on August 30 after the first phase of interrogation, but he sought delay saying that he had the duties of the Puthuppally elections, following which he appeared today.

Monson's ex-employee Jinson had testified that Sudhakaran had received Rs 10 lakh at Monson Mavunkal's house in Kaloor. Anoop, the complainant in the case, had also testified that the money was transferred on November 2018, but Sudhakaran denied the allegations. Sudhakaran is being questioned in connection with financial transactions including this.

ED's intervention follows a crime branch investigation into the scams committed by Monson. ED will check whether black money and hawala money were used in transactions worth crores. K Sudhakaran and the police officers are being interrogated as accused by the crime branch.
