THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CBI reports that Dallal Nandakumar handed over the letter of the Solar controversy lady making sexual allegations against Congress leaders to a private channel under pressure from CPM leaders.
Sharanya Manoj handed over the letter to Nandakumar as per the instructions of the complainant. Nandakumar paid Rs.1 lakh to the complainant. The private channel aired the letter with the permission of the complainant. The letter produced by Nandakumar before the CBI was 19 pages long. The complainant filed a harassment complaint with the police and CBI on the advice of Nandakumar, after the change of UDF government in 2016. CBI investigation revealed that the complainant had a close relationship with Nandakumar.
No direct evidence or circumstantial evidence was found against Oommen Chandy in the investigation. There is no evidence of financial transactions or fraud. Therefore the case should be closed, says investigating officers DySP RS Shekhawat and Inspector Nipun Shankar in their final report submitted to the Thiruvananthapuram Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. The complaint was that on September 19, 2012, at 4 pm, the lady was subjected to sexual abuse of an unnatural nature at Cliff House. There are statements from Sreejith and Sandeep, the drivers of the complainant, that the complainant did not go to Cliffhouse on this day. The security staff of Cliffhouse also testified that the complainant did not reach there. There was a statement that PC George saw what happened at Cliffhouse, which the investigation found to be false. The statements of the complainant and PC George contradict each other. George denied the complainant's statement that George was an eyewitness. The black chiffon saree with magenta flower design and black velvet border produced by the complainant was found to be free of body fluids.
Ganesh Kumar has stated that he does not believe the sexual allegations raised against Oommen Chandy and that he has no relationship with the complainant. Pradeep Kumar, Ganesh Kumar's PA, was the one who received the complainant's letter from Pathanamthitta Jail. It was handed over to R Balakrishna Pillai. Manikandan Nair, who was the leader of the police organization, also denied the statement of the complainant. None of the guards at Cliffhouse saw the complainant there that day. No cash transactions have taken place in Delhi and Edapazhanji in Thiruvananthapuram. The complainant says that the letter had 30 pages but only 4 pages were given to the court.
